CygWin32 News & Cross-compiling with oo2c

HJ Boehm has made public a new release of his garbage collector.
You can get it from

  http://reality.sgi.com/employees/boehm_mti/gc_source/gc4.13alpha3.tar.gz

I am currently uploading it to www.uni-kl.de.
This release works with CygWin32 Beta20.

Martin Pirker has put up a description of how he manages to do
cross-compilation with oo2c/Linux for the Win32 environment. The
document is at

  http://www.sbox.tu-graz.ac.at/home/c/crf/crossoo2c.txt

oo2c was never intended to do cross-compilation, so IMO this is a
major feat to get this strange combination working.

As an aside: Stewart Greenhil is making good progress with his H2O
utility. He is using it to produce interface modules for the Win32
API. I am currently working on compiler support for the Windows
environment.

Also, there is some progress in getting oo2c to work on Alpha machines
under Linux. I hope that I have a preliminary version of oo2c_64 by
the end of next week.
