The Amiga had a rather nice way for handling localized strings.
Perhaps one can
steal some ideas (of course it had no Unicode support). Using XML is
a nice
idea, since it is a rather portable format and allows other people
(Oberon OSs)
to use the localisation routines, too. However that means that your
XML parser must
be part of the library and likely must as a result be under LGPL.
